Thanksgiving 2020!!

Hey Kubernetes!

I know i am little late in celebrating my Thanksgiving. But that’s ok! since its a month of gratitude and also there is no particular time in thanking someone. To people who don’t know Thanksgiving is celebrated in the last Thursday of November.

With all my fellow readers this year i want to give my special heartfelt gratitude to people who made us survive till this date, even in small ways. Yes! this year has been tough for everyone in different ways. But few people sacrificed despite that and helped community in selfless action. Through this write-up I want give our small token of appreciation to all who helped us reach this moment in this pandemic era.

In no particular order,

Daily Necessity : I don’t think we would have survived this lock-down without our basic needs. This starts from the farmer, transporter and vendor who made it easily accessible for us without any panic. Milk supplier, newspaper guy who made us realize that it is yet another day in our life.

With rules & regulations, following safety precaution and sanitizing the place; the supermarkets and kiosk also played their part.

The people who became the lock-down chef would understand them.

Doctors & Nurses: We can’t thank them enough for what they have done. Placing their life at stake with day & night shift. Take a moment to realize how hard it would have been; starting from the pressure of higher authority, their own family member, their safety precaution measure and questions from the patient’s family.

We hear from many for their rude attitude but think from their perspective how hard it would have for them staying away from their families when the whole world is together with their loved ones.

Ambulance drivers, people who were working in test centers also played a major role during this period.

Police officials: We might have witnessed their tireless service everyday and educating people to be aware in maintaining social distance and to avoid coming out frequently.

Few also helped in getting daily necessity for needy and some to travel to their hometown.

Corporation : Right from the moment of confirming, walking in & out of every house-hold and measuring the temperature, providing individual help to that family in supplying the needs, placing a security for the affected area, checking if someone traveled from different place they have done their incredible part in preventing from spreading.

I just want to share an incident i witnessed, the same person from corporation comes to my house every day to check the temperature and ask us every morning ‘how are you’, seriously she would be the only person till this moment who would have asked us ‘how are you’ that many times.

Not to forget the garbage collector, without whom the spread would have been easier.

Also a special mention to all officials who worked during these time to serve us.

Last but most important of all, our parents who stood in the line each time to get these goods and taking care of us every time. Yes, i am sure i would not be us who stood for hours in the scorching heat :P

Yay!! a huge thank you for all these people who made it easier for us during difficult times. Let me know if i have missed some people to thank in the comment section. Also don’t forget to express your gratitude to your loved in this thanksgiving and make it special for them.
